- Click “Start Cleaning.”
Note: Download the deepuninstaller tool (run after extracting the .zip file). Always use the latest version if an update is available.
- After the cleaning process is complete, restart your computer before proceeding with the installation.
Software Access (Third-Party Information)
The software might be available for free on Saturdays. On Saturdays, open the application and select “Other login methods” from the login interface.
Security Software Interference
If you have 360 security software installed, either close it before installation or manually select “Allow All” when prompted. Installation involves registry operations, which 360 may flag.
Summary of Installation Issues

SolidWorks Main Program Not Found During Installation Without Disconnecting from Internet
If you install SolidWorks without disconnecting from the internet and the main program is not found:
- Manually click “Change” within the installer.
- Select the relevant installation package.
- Ensure the SolidWorks main program is checked.
- Check the first option in the list.
- Open the language options and ensure “Simplified Chinese” is checked.
- Alternatively, after opening the installer, right-click on the blank white area and select “Disable Intel Access.”
C++ Runtime Installation Failure
Symptoms: C++ runtime fails to install during SolidWorks setup.
Cause: A conflicting or identical version of C++ runtime is already installed on the computer.
Solution:
- Uninstall the existing C++ runtime version from your computer.
- Attempt the SolidWorks installation again.
VBA 7.1 Installation Failure
Symptoms: VBA 7.1 installation fails, or the installer cannot recognize it.
Cause: A conflicting or corrupted VBA 7.1 component.
Solution: Uninstall VBA 7.1 from the Windows Control Panel before proceeding with the SolidWorks installation.
SOLIDWORKS Electrical Fails to Connect to SQL Server or Installation Failure
Symptoms: During SolidWorks installation, a message appears stating “SOLIDWORKS Electrical cannot connect to SQL Server” or the SQL component fails to install.
Solution: If you are only creating mechanical drawings and do not require electrical design capabilities, uncheck “SOLIDWORKS Electrical” during the installation process.
License Inconsistency Issues

Cause: Incorrect file path for license components or conflicts from previous installations.
Solution:
- After cleaning with deepuninstaller, restart your computer.
- Manually delete the original SolidWorks installation folder, or create a new installation directory during the installation process.
- After successful installation, copy the
netapi32.dllfile fromSOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKSto your SolidWorks installation directory. - When prompted to replace the existing file, confirm the replacement.
Script Errors During Installation
Symptoms: Script errors appear repeatedly during installation.
Solution: Continuously click “Yes” to dismiss the script errors until the installation proceeds.
Upon completing these steps, the installation should be successful. While other minor errors might occur, the primary goal is to ensure the main program functionality.
