Solution for SolidWorks 2024 Setup.exe Not Responding When Double-Clicked or Run as Administrator

Recently, due to a Microsoft update, some users have encountered an issue where attempting to install SolidWorks 2024 results in no response after double-clicking or running the installer (setup) as an administrator. Please note that this issue has so far been reported only with the SolidWorks 2024 version. However, if similar problems occur with other versions, the following solutions can also be tried:

Step 1
Download the latest version of DeepUninstaller from the official website and log in.

Step 2
Click on “Extensions,” then click “Start” next to “Running Solidworks2024 Setup installer.”

Step 3
After the progress reaches 100%, double-click the setup file again, and the interface should appear.

After completing the above steps, try opening the setup file again to continue the installation process without needing to restart the computer. This method provides a temporary solution to the issue of the installer failing to launch. If future system updates cause similar problems, you can reuse this method. Unless Microsoft resolves the issue in subsequent updates, this workaround may be needed after each update. Rest assured, this issue only affects the startup of the installer and does not impact already installed programs.
